Comfortable Mountain Lodging in Southwest Virginia

The guest rooms at our bed and breakfast are named in honor of Collins family members (Ella, George, Mary, & L.P.) with the exception of The Nettie. The rooms on the upper level all have mountain views. Three of the beds have headboards that were made from doors found in the basement. Doors, floors, and other features are original to the house. The window treatments, shower treatments, and bed skirts were all custom made.

The Collins House Inn is a “Green Inn.” You will discover that our floors have radiant heat; our windows are double-glazed, our water is double-filtered, and our air is filtered and re-circulated. The B&B has central air. There are six inches of foam insulation in the exterior walls that conserve energy and make the inn very quiet. Guests of The Collins House Inn have repeatedly commented on the beauty of the house and the comfort and relaxation they feel as guests. The Collins House Inn has 3 large areas where guests can get together, relax, read, converse, or play cards or other games. In the cooler months, guests can gather around the gas fireplace for comfort and ambiance. These areas are also suitable for quilting parties, baby or bridal showers or other small gatherings & meetings. Contact us if you would like more details about hosting your special event at the Inn.Breakfast is served daily at 8:30 a.m. (earlier breakfast times will be available on request and may be continental in nature). All breakfast dining is  in the large dining room in traditional B&B style affording the guests the opportunity to converse with one another. The room is done in Tuscan colors of burgundy and gold. There is also a smaller, more formal dining room available for breakfast.
