Friday, July 19th is the 27th Annual Downtown Days Chili Cook-off and Shine ‘n’ Show Car Show on Main Street. Music is featured by Phantom. For the kids, there is Space Walk Kids Zone sponsored by Mountain View Ford. There will be tons of food and dancing from 7 pm to 11 pm.
On Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 21, The Art League of Marion, in cooperation with The Department of Conservation and Recreation in partnership with Charter Media proudly presents THE 40TH ANNUAL HUNGRY MOTHER FESTIVAL at Hungry Mother State Park. The festival features more than 100 Arts & Crafts Exhibitors, outdoor fun for the entire family, music, and food, food, food. The hours are from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Friday and Saturday; and from 10:00 am to 5 pm on Sunday.
The Hungry Mother Festival is a juried arts and crafts festival. 100% of the jury fees and a percentage of the booth fees go to fund college scholarships deserving Smyth County for students who are continuing their education in art, music, or theater.
