If “people watching” is of interest, guests are encouraged to relax on the front porch and take in the sights and sounds of Marion! Being right on Main Street -- and in the heart of downtown -- you’re sure to get a flavor of “small-town America” and the friendly folks of Marion.
Common Areas and Dining Rooms . . .
Breakfast at The Collins House Inn is the crowning jewel. Guests are pampered with lavish meals consisting of fresh fruits (in season), quiches, stratas, eggs Benedict, French toast, Belgian waffles (to name just a few) served with sides such as home fries, potato casserole, sausage/grits casserole, bacon, freshly baked muffins or coffee cake, juices, hot tea, coffee, etc. -- all served by candlelight with fresh flowers (in season) in the Inn’s Main Dining Room.
Ease into your day surrounded by warm Tuscan tones and soft background music. Are you an early riser? If so, early morning coffee and/or hot tea is available. The Main Dining Room has seating for twelve. When combined with an Inn stay, The Collins House Inn is a perfect location for a small executive meeting and/or retreat.
If you are in need of a smaller, more private/intimate setting, the Inn also offers a dining room with seating for eight. This dining room is excellent for a small business meeting, interview, deposition, etc.
If you prefer a quieter, softer form of relaxation, take advantage of our Inn’s common areas. Both living room areas have comfortable seating -- with one room having a warm, cozy fireplace for those colder winter days/evenings. A game table is also available where guests can play cards, board games, construct a jigsaw puzzle., etc.
